About Us

Who are we?

Trilo Studios is a small group of indie game developers. They are lead by Will Byerly and most of their programming is done through python. This blog features many things including python and pygame tutorials, python tricks, and posts concerning updates to our projects. We created this so we can talk with other game developers about the struggles of making indie games, and to have fun teaching python.

Why python?

Trilo Studios programs in python for many reasons. Python is easy to learn, fast to program in, and is getting increasingly popular. Although python may not be the fastest programming language out there, it is easy to use, and simple.

Why do you make games in python and pygame?

Pygame is one of the best sources to make games with python. Pygame is very simple to use,and can be easily ported to android. Unlike many other 2-D gaming platforms, pygame can be quickly used to program games in python. Making the games in a different language, like C is very tedious and slow.
